Autodesk Labs plug-in for 3D Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

The world of 3D digital prototyping is moving toward a world without drawings. But the 3D CAD model doesn’t tell the whole story.

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing – GD&T

Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is used to define the nominal (theoretically perfect) geometry of parts and assemblies, to define the allowable variation in form and possibly size of individual features, and to define the allowable variation between features.

The 3D Plugin for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing allows you to add dimensions and Annotations directly to your 3D Model.

‘The 3D Annotation for Inventor technology preview allows the Inventor user to apply 3D Annotations: dimensions, geometric tolerances, surface finish symbols, datum symbols, and notes to a part model, which are then displayed in the graphics view.’
