AUGI, the Autodesk User Group International.
Free Peer to Peer networking and support by, and for Autodesk software users.
A.U.G.I – The Autodesk User Group International is the official user group for all of Autodesk’s products. It is sponsored by Autodesk (amongst others), but it is independently run by volunteers and is Free to join.
There are Forums on the AUGI website for every Autodesk product, as well as general forums for subjects such as Civil Engineering, Manufacturing, CAD Management and programming, for example. It is a great place to look for answers, or ask questions. There is usually someone online who has had the same issue as you.
The A.T.P – Augi Training Program consists of Free tutorials, run in a distance learning fashion. The tutorials are written by AUGI volunteers. They each consist of three parts which you can download over a month. Each class is linked to a forum where you can ask the tutor, and your peers, questions about the topic. Previous classes have been archived, and cover a wide ranged of topics.
AUGI also hosts the Autodesk ‘Wish lists’, Lists of requests for changes or improvements to Autodesk products. The wish lists are the first point of contact for the Autodesk developers and researchers. A large proportion of these requests end up in the programmes.
Finally, AUGI runs ‘CAD Camps’, One or two day networking and learning events, focused on productivity and giving you a lot of knowledge in a little time.
